“Intense love does not measure, it just gives” ~ Mother Teresa

To know Jo is to love Jo, and if you got a chance consider yourself forever lucky. She protected her own so if you at first you met her and thought she didn’t like you, this was not because she was unkind but rather she was just protecting the ones she loved most. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for you, and to her grandchildren if she said no that just meant yes in less than 5 hours. Her house on Jefferson in Riverside was always known to many as “Grams” and it was always known if you needed tell it like it is advice, a friend, a snack, a couple bucks, a loving hug, or a roll of toilet paper go to Grams. Countless summers were spent in her backyard filled with family, friends, laughter, and too many kids in the pool.

While her life was her family, she never forgot to live a little for herself. With a flick of her iconic shade of pink lipstick and the air filled with Shalimar perfume she was off with her bag in hand to take a trip with her girlfriends by plane, bus, or car for an adventure in another state or just to see a movie, go lose her shirt at a slot machine, dinner at the diner, or to walk around the store to buy everything she didn’t need. Turn 7 was her Disneyland. If she stayed home she could be found in her jammies while sitting on the computer playing her games and sending everyone to many game invites. Her life was abundantly spent with adventure, love, and light and if you messed with one of her own an occasional punch in the mouth.

Upon entering her young adulthood she met her sailor at port in Philadelphia and together they would go on to create her forever and assemble all the pieces of her heart. Her beautifully filled life echos on the walls in photographs all over her home. She was a loving daughter, sister to 13 siblings, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Jo was preceded by her husband Frank Chuplis and her daughter Roseann. Jo is survived by her life partner, number 1 and son Frank Chuplis Jr (Wendy), 4 grandchildren Tiffany Brown (Aaron), Ashley Counseller, Paige Chuplis, Rosemarie Chuplis-Wright(Brian), and GG to 10 great grandchildren Joey, Malakhai, Skylar, Mayse, Marlee, London, Weylne, Karley, Rhys and Paris, her lifelong neighbor and best friend Emanuela, and her dog Rosie.
