Louis Brooks JR

Louis Brooks, JR was born the eldest son born to Eula Brooks and Louis Brooks Sr. On June 8th, 1956 in Philadelphia P.A. Louis moved to Willingboro in 1971 where he had many friends and graduated from the Willingboro School District in 1975. Enrolled in the U.S Army in 1975.

Louis Brooks Jr., a cherished presence in the communities of Philadelphia, Willingboro, and Camden. Born in Philadelphia, Louis journeyed through life with an infectious spirit that touched the hearts of all who knew him.

Renowned for his smooth moves on the dance floor, especially to the rhythm of soul music, Louis was truly the life of the party wherever he went. His genuine desire to assist others and his natural charisma made him a beacon of warmth and kindness, illuminating every room he entered.

Louis had a passion for culinary delights, particularly breakfast cuisine. He enjoyed dining out, relishing a cheeseburger over steak or salmon, and indulging in his love for pretzels, with Auntie Ann’s being a particular weakness. His love for music was boundless, curating his own playlists.. Among his favorites were the incomparable voices of Aretha Franklin and Chaka Khan.

He was well known for his practical jokes, always keeping those around him laughing. Yet, his humor was only surpassed by his love for his family. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his grandchildren, sharing laughter and creating cherished memories together.

He is survived by his children- Shimura Hughley, Montre Brooks, Rahjune Smith, and Racheal Smith (4)

Grandchildren (12)- Kevin King, Treviyon Brooks, Zion St. Phard, Trenise Brooks, Treyonna Brooks, Aiyanna Smith, Brianna Smith, Raihanna Smith, Tremir Brooks, Prynce Smith, Pharoah Brooks, and Krown Smith

Siblings- Wanda Brooks(deceased), Louise Brooks, Deborah Brooks, Deidra Brooks, and Darryl  Brooks

Come celebrate 67 great years on Friday from 9am to 11am at Sweeney Funeral Home, 478 Cooper Street, Beverly NJ 08010, where there will be an 11am service. Interment Brigadier William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown NJ.
