Mary Capparelli (nee Rongione)

 Age 80 of Mt Laurel, NJ passed away on August 8, 2021.

 “When in doubt – don’t” was Mary’s advice on life. Her role as a mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother was truly her life’s work.

 Born in South Philadelphia in 1940 she moved to Hooker Street in Riverside in the early 1950’s. She was currently residing in Mt. Laurel, NJ. Mary graduated from Riverside High School in 1958. While serving as a bridesmaid for her cousin, she met the love of her life, James T. Capparelli. They were married in 1960 and together they had five children, eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mary served as a teacher’s aide in the Willingboro School District for 23 years.

 She was predeceased by her husband, James T., her parents, Albert and Rosalie Rongione, and her beloved sister, Susan Rongione Stolte.

 Mary is survived by James and Donna Capparelli, Steven and Donna Capparelli , Thomas and Ali Capparelli, John and Tammy Capparelli, and Sherri and Jeffrey Newman. Mary is also the grandmother of 11: Jamie and Benjamin Weller, James T. and Cher Capparelli, Steven and Rebecca Capparelli, Michael Capparelli, Anthony Capparelli, Carleen Capparelli, Sarah Capparelli, Paul Capparelli, Nicklaus Newman, Alyssa Newman, Andrew Newman and the great-grandmother of Jackson, Avery, Beckett Weller, and Gianna, James Luca, and Eva Capparelli. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30am at St. Joseph’s Beverly. Relatives and friends are invited to join the Capparelli family and share their fondest memories of Mary on Friday morning between 8 and 10 am at THE SWEENEY FUNERAL HOME Riverside. Masks are required at the request of the family.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of the donors’ choosing.
