CURRENT CELEBRATIONS

MaryEllen Robison
She was Riverside through and through: MaryEllen was born at Zurburgg, graduated Riverside High School (class of 1975), and lived in her home on Bem Street her entire life. She did for others long before she did for herself; you’d never hear a complaint even during the most difficult of times. She had many a job throughout her life, but most notably she worked accounts receivable for Burlington County OTC. But she found her real calling late in life as a grandmother; built in babysitter on the weekends and she made the best sugar cookies with them. For MaryEllen it was the simple things in life that mattered, none more important than Christmas cookies and Easter baskets. She made a great ham and potato salad and her beef and brown potatoes was the stuff of legends. She liked to keep it red, cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Phillies. Her T.V. was seldom off and she loved to check in on the news and catch up with NCIS and Minions.
The freshman MaryEllen Daley was set up on a date with a junior boy named Lance Robison. They’d share a 47-year marriage blessed by a daughter, Patricia MacGregor, a son, Lance P, and grandsons, Gavin and Malachi Cannon.
Come celebrate 67 great years Sunday March 23, 5 to 7 p.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, 337 Bridgeboro Street, Riverside where there will be a 7 p.m. service.
