Philip Reillo

With a keen ability to build and fix anything, Phil’s craftsmanship was known far and wide. He took pride in his work and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Phil owned and operated Phil’s Glass for 25 years. His dedication to his craft was a testament to his strong work ethic.

Phil had a wide range of interests and hobbies that brought him joy throughout his life. He was an avid fan of crime TV shows, John Wayne movies, and the music of Hank Williams. True crime stories captivated his imagination. Phil was also deeply involved with St. Joe’s Church and the Knights of Columbus.

One of Phil’s greatest pleasures was indulging in his favorite food, clams, and he relished the taste of the sea. In the summertime, he would escape to Wildwood and Strathmere Beach, where he found solace in the ocean and the sand. His travels took him to Florida, California, Missouri, and Arizona, allowing him to explore the beauty of the world.

Family was of utmost importance to Phil, and he took great pleasure in attending his grandkids’ sporting events. He was not just a grandfather but a babysitter, always there to support and encourage them in their endeavors. One of his greatest passions was cheering on Holy Cross football games, where he could be found in the stands at every game, showing unwavering support for his favorite team. His prized possession, the El Camino, was a reflection of his unique style and love for classic cars.

He enjoyed spending his spare time with his best friend, John Woolam. They would stop at convenience stores together and pick up a lottery ticket or scratch off. Often comparing who won more than the other.

He met the love of his life, Joyce, on a blind date. They cherished 54 years of marriage together. He was a true Italian at heart, with a deep appreciation for family and tradition. His generosity knew no bounds, and he would do anything for anyone, always putting the needs of others before his own.

Phil is survived by his wife Joyce and their children Dawn (Michael) Cahill, Michael (Christine) Reillo, Dianne Capponi, Donna (Paul) Davis, and Tricia (Steve) DeSanto. Along with 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; his brother: Rocco Reillo; his sister in laws: Eleanor, Jacqueline, and Norma and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 10:30am at St. Joseph’s Church, 805 Warren Street, Beverly NJ 08010
