Constance Healey BauerrnrnIf it’s true that those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves, than Connie’s life was as bright as the sun. If anyone around her was feeling down she was fast to find a way to bring a smile back to their face, whether this meant becoming a cheerleader or psychologist she’d find a way. She had the knack to bring out the best in anyone. Trips to the grocery store took twice as long with Connie, not because of the shopping, but because she chatted with every friend she crossed, and made some new ones. Her patriotism always shown through. On her trips to the VA hospital she was always sure to thank every Vet she met. She gave to her Logan Twp. community working the polls every Election Day. Sundays found her teaching religious education. The kids were always spoiled with stickers. Being good helped, but wasn’t necessary. Truth be told, she simply wanted to see them smile. She was game for anything: Connie once played Santa Claus and another time dressed as a twinky.rnBlind dates don’t always end in disaster. Hers led to 43 years of marriage to her husband Phil. Together they’d be blessed with their daughters: Brenda Scionti (Joe) of West Palm Beach, FL, Amanda Tara DeGennaro (Joe) of Quinton and Joleen of Swarthmore, PA. Her life was again blessed with her grandchildren: Alexa Ortiz, Antonio Scionti, Joseph and Jonathon DeGennaro and the late Daniel DeGennaro. She is also sister to Thomas and Kathleen Healey. rnCome celebrate 63 vivacious years Sunday 5-7 PM and Monday from 9AM at Holy Name of Jesus Church, Mullica Hill, where Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 am.
