Dolores Hallman

Dolores Hallman

5/26/1945 – 9/27/2023

Dolores (Lori, Mam, Lolo, Ms. H) was a Delran resident for 51 years.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who would always put her family first.

In her early years, she worked in her father’s Doctor’s office in Kensington, PA.  She often spoke highly of the years growing up with her three sisters and brother.  As a child, she spent her summers in LBI and where she later met her husband, William.  She continued this precious LBI tradition with her children, grandchildren, siblings and nieces and nephews.

Dolores was the neighborhood “mother”, welcoming all that came.  She worked hard in the mortgage business where she later retired to help care for and spoil her four grandchildren.  She dedicated her time attending all the grandchildren’s events and caring for them in every way she could. You always knew she would be bringing her grandchildren brownies, chocolate chip cookie bars and lemon squares and anything else she thought they needed.

Dolores always looked forward to every summer in Surf City, LBI.  She loved being on the beach with her children and grandchildren and would often be found at the edge of the water just watching the grandchildren swim and enjoy themselves.

Dolores loved puzzles, crosswords and Sudoku and has passed this love onto her grandchildren.  She kept a very tidy and immaculate house.  When she visited her children and grandchildren, she was often “buzzing” around from room to help clean and organize their homes as well.  She was caring, thoughtful, kind and always put the needs of others before herself.  She is loved beyond measure and will be forever in our hearts and memories.

Dolores is survived by her husband of 56 years, William; children Eric (Dawn) and Kristen (Phillip); grandchildren: Ryan, Avery, Olivia, and Dylan; siblings: Anita, Elizabeth, Paula, and Joseph; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

Come celebrate 78 years on Monday October 2, from 6pm-8pm at Sweeney Funeral Home, 337 Bridgeboro Street, Riverside NJ 08075. A Private Interment will be held on October 3, 12:00pm at St. John Neuman Cemetery, 3797 County Line Rd, Chalfont, PA 18914. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: stjude.org

In the mid to late 1960s, when Bill (my brother) first introduced us to Lori (Deloris), I thought, “Wow!!!! Beauty, intelligence and a great personality. Bill, you did good.” Over the next 50-plus years, Lori not only proved me right but even exceeded my expectations. We will miss her very much.

The outstanding care administered by Family and friends was a testimony of the love Lori shared. The above accurately describes Lori’s love of her family and friends. I will miss her dearly and thank all of you who made her passing at home easier for her and all of us.
