Donna Jean Galbraith (Blake)

August 21,1951- May 19, 2026

Born and raised in Devon, Pennsylvania, Donna was full of energy from an early age. As a young girl, she loved roller skating and spent countless hours at the local rink, eventually working there during her teenage years. Donna’s greatest love story began in high school when she met Robert. Together they built a beautiful life and shared 57 years of marriage filled with companionship and adventure. Their travels took them across the globe, creating memories on cruises to destinations including Italy, England, Thailand, Hawaii, Alaska, and countless tropical islands. No matter where their journeys led, they always found their way home to Beverly. They moved there on New Year’s Day in 1976 and remained there ever since.

A true mother at heart, Donna devoted herself completely to her children. She was the mom and grandmom who never missed a game, a school event, a field trip, or an opportunity to be present. Whether cheering from the sidelines at softball and hockey games, volunteering as a chaperone, or simply being there when she was needed, Donna made sure her children always knew they were loved. Family dinners were her specialty, preparing all the sides, while she left the meats to Robert.

Donna had a special place in her heart for animals and always made sure there was a beloved pet as part of the family. If her TV was on you could find her relaxing with her favorite soap operas. She never met a stranger. She loved everyone she encountered, but her family held the most special place in her heart.

Donna is survived by her husband Robert, their children Aimee (Erik) Morton and Cheree (Patrick) Galbraith-Hart, her grandchildren Amber, Rebecca, Shane, John Jr, Justin, Chace, and Carter, Great-Grandchildren Mason, Quinn, Riley, and a new arrival in Oct 2026, along with many other relatives and friends.

Come celebrate 74 great years on Thursday May 28th from 10am-12pm where there will be a 12pm service at Sweeney Funeral Home Beverly. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to:  American Heart Association
