She kept her mind sharp through the years. Eileen travelled to many Duplicate Bridge tournaments and could beat just about anyone even late in life. It may have dated back to when she put together investment portfolios in her youth; Eileen had a great feel with numbers. Came in handy later when she was the Clerk in Delran. She founded the book club in Ashley Crossing; they read more books than any other club. And if she wasn’t buried in a book, she’d be keeping an eye on her community; Eileen was active in her neighborhood watch. Her hands were always busy: Eileen took up knitting, crocheting blankets in the colors of all her grandkid’s colleges. Eileen was a great cook, known especially for her excellent pie making skills: apple, blueberry, peach, cherry, pumpkin and mincemeat. And the great grandchildren loved her brownies and asked for them every time there was a party or family get together. Nobody made brownies like GiGi. Eileen loved going out to eat with family and friends and even shared an annual Anniversary dinner with her special niece Carol and her husband Tom, whom she introduced. She cheered for the Phils; Eileen made it down to Clearwater a few times for spring training (Charlie Manuel signed her hat) and she splurged on a superbox for her family. Chase was her favorite player. Her other favorite was Tom Selleck; she never missed an episode of Blue Bloods. Earlier years found her golfing; Eileen got her score down to the nineties and she made a few treks down to Myrtle Beach. She was a lifelong resident of Delran and president of the St. Casimir PTA. She lived in 3 places growing up: Washington DC, Atlantic City and Philadelphia. Her favorite was probably Atlantic City: she loved the Miss America “Show Me Your Shoes Parade.” She danced many a jitterbug and saw Sinatra live in concert. This summer she strutted with the mummers in Wildwood; shocking that she didn’t make it to 100.
Many moons ago, Eileen’s sister was trying to set up a double date and she was asking her friends if they’d be interested in tagging along with the other guy. “If it’s Fred Davis, you set him up with me!!” Eileen shouted out. She and the late Fred shared a 44-year marriage blessed by 3 children, Deborah Davis Ney, Frederick (Christina) Davis and Tom (Karen) Davis; and later by grandchildren, Fred, Jim, Kathleen, Jennifer, Kristine, Carol, Kelly and Colleen; and 11 great-grandchildren with 2 more coming in February. Eileen was the 2nd child born to Helen Josephine Stocka and Christopher Bray Pfeiffer Sr. She had an older sister, Doris and younger brother, ChristopherJr.
Come celebrate 94 great years Friday December 29, 2023, 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Resurrection Parish, Holy Name Church, 260 Conrow Road, Delran where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m.

I will cherish my memories with Aunt Eileen & her distinctive voice. I know Doris is hugging her hard right now.
