He was happy just to be surrounded by his girls: his wife and 4 daughters. Frank was born in Camden and served our nation for two years in the Army, stationed in Germany. He became an electrician, then worked 41years for Holmes Protection Inc in Philadelphia and over 30 years for the Burlington County Times. He was a soccer fan from the days when his girls attended Riverside High School. Later years found Frank enjoying his grandchildren.
Frank tagged along with a friend of his on a double date. A young Verna Schiehle did the same for a friend of hers after all meeting in Riverside. While the original couple never went on another date, Verna and Frank would celebrate 59 years of marriage and be blessed by 4 children: “The Big Kids” – Verna (Michael) Newsome and Nancyann Wagner, then the “The Little Kids” – Lynne (David) Scymanski and Joanne (Patrick Schintz) DeWald; 3 grandchildren: Danielle, Kyleah, Decotah; and great-grandchildren, Laena, Jacob, Bryson and one more on the way.
Frank was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, even taking his young daughters to and enduring a Bay City Rollers Concert in Atlantic City with thousands of screaming girls.
Services will be celebrated privately at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice and are appreciated.
