Helen graduated from Patterson State College with a teaching degree. She wasn’t sure that teaching was what she wanted. Her sister talked her into substituting and then she knew it was to be her life’s work. So Helen went back to Rowan and got a Master’s Degree .rnMath was her subject and Williamstown High students benefited from her tutoring especially if they had trouble learning. She was passionate about passing on her skills. Helen also cared for her teaching colleagues. The teachers of the Monroe Twp Teachers Union received 110% of her organizing skills, plus she was their treasurer, lead negotiator, and arbitrator.rnIt took one dance with her husband, Mario to lead them to marriage.
