J Romaine McNeil

J Romaine McNeil

Romaine was always in motion; she had the energy of a child and a quirky sense of humor. When she left her home, she looked perfect, her hair and makeup done perfectly and dressed to the nines. She liked to travel: with her late husband to Hawaii and Vegas and after her husband passed she joined a senior group and rode on the bus to casino trips as far away as Connecticut. But she was used to it from a lifetime of seeing the country. Romaine was originally from West Virginia and after marrying she moved about every 4 years for her husband’s work. Christmas was definitely her holiday; as the family grew it evolved from a sit down dinner to a buffet. And she was meant to be a grandmother, beaming with pride about their accomplishments and even cutting their hair. If she had one vice it was definitely shopping, usually with her granddaughter Donna next to her.

She is survived by her sons: Brian (Barbara) and Steven (Debbie); grandchildren: Donna (Dan), Michael (Lauren), Kevin, Nathan (Vanessa), and Elizabeth (Andrew); great-grandchildren: Zachary, Lily, Lucy, Emma, Owen, Elsie, and Lucas; her brother: Ronald (George Ann) and niece Connie (Jeff)
