Jean M. McIntyre (nee DeWald) passed away on August 14, 2021
at the age of 94. Born September 28, 1926 in Philadelphia,
Jean was a long time resident of Delran, NJ.
Jean is pre-deceased by her loving husband, Hugh; her parents,
Jean and Frank DeWald; brother, John (Jack) DeWald;
and sister, Irma Hetrick. She is survived by her five children,
Madalyn Rao (Bill), Maureen Lankford (Ken), Tom McIntyre (Antoinette),
Karen McIntyre-Snow (Cas Czyzewski) and Steven McIntyre (Erica);
13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Jean grew up in the Rhawnhurst section of Philadelphia,
attended Resurrection of Our Lord Grade School and was among
the First graduating class at St. Hubert’s Catholic High School.
She later worked as a head secretary at Lea and Febiger Publishing Company
in center city Philadelphia.
Jean will be sadly missed and remembered most for her kind spirit and
loving devotion to her family!
A celebration of Jean’s life will be held on Friday, Oct. 15th.
Funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Beverly, NJ @ 10:30 am.
Burial to follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetary, Newtown, PA.
