There was never any doubt about Joan’s top priority: her boys and later her grandchildren. Joan was a mom and grandmom for the ages. She loved sports, which was lucky for her. Between her sons and grandkids she attended everything from baseball to cheerleading. Joan seldom missed a game. She was a great cook but then again she had to be with 4 growing boys. Joan was part mother, part short order cook, making up to 4 separate dinners to make sure they all got to their games on time. But she also invested in her friendships: Joan maintained friends for life, especially those she made at DataPro and Sports Mothers. She was also devout in her faith as an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Riverside.
She would meet a guy at a dance in Philadelphia. She and the late Bud would marry and be blessed by sons, Jeff (Dominique) of Marlton, Gary (Lori) of Delran, Tom (Maureen) of Delran and Don (Kristie) of Burlington Twp. She was the grandmother of 10 and was predeceased by her sister, Clara (Bill) Schiavo.
