Joseph C. Grosso

Joseph C. Grosso

He was a hard worker his whole life through. As a plumber Joe turned a wrench with the best of them and was blessed to have a son follow him into the trade. Earlier years found him working in a steel mill near Pittsburgh. Not shocking that he was a lifelong Steelers fan. Of course, he found his real calling late in life as a grandfather to Dominic and Ola. He served our nation in the army in the U.S. Strike Command during an eventful period: Joe was in uniform for the Cuban Missile Crisis and saw JFK the week before the assassination.
He is survived by his sons, Joseph Todd (Cynthia) and Christopher (Iwona); and his grandchildren, Dominic and Aleksandra.
Come celebrate 81 great years Friday, Jan. 5, 5-7 p.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, Beverly where there will be a 7 p.m. service.
