She came from England and never lost her British ways: her favorite show being Downtown Abby. For sports she watched her beloved Flyers. And you can’t stop a girl from shopping, especially when they have QVC in the house. And she was a wiz in the kitchen: everything from her brownie dessert to stuffed shells. She maintained friends for a lifetime. She and her girl’s club (friends dating back to high school) got together every month for dinner and trips. But she was really meant to be a Grandmom always found on the sidelines of every event: softball, field hockey, soccer and football.
She met her late husband Joseph through friends. She is survived by children, Gillian (Rob) Feldman and Robyn (Nick) Boyer, her brother, Pete (Gail) Hughes; grandchildren, Justin, Dylan, Kamryn, Ava, Riane, Brielle and Joelle ; great-grandchildren, Jimmy III and Sophia; and many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by her step son, Jimmy Jungblut, and grandchild, Jimmy Jungblut, Jr. She is pre-deceased by her parents William and Rosalie Hughes.
Come celebrate 68 years on Friday from 6-8 p.m., where there will be a service 8 p.m., at the Sweeney Funeral Home, 337 Bridgeboro Street, Riverside NJ. In lieu of flowers donations to American cancer society (cancer.org) will be appreciated.
