Lester Robert Cotton, age 76, passed away with family by his side on August 17, 2018. A life long resident of Riverside, NJ – he was best recognized for walking around town or sitting on his front porch. He was a well mannered, caring, generous man that would go out of his way to help people or let them know how much he appreciated what they did for him. Always sending wishes to “be careful and have a safe day”. A man that loved his country and proudly served for over 20 Years in the US Army with a tour in Vietnam and the National Guard (including 911) after he retired with Hoeganaes Corp. He had Lifetime Memberships in the Vietnam Veterans of American Chapter 899, AMVETS Post 251, VFW Post 3020, The American Legion Post 146, and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 42. Also, Associate Member of the Federal Order of Police Lodge 38, member of the NRA, he loved to fish & hunt and just be outside. He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Cotton, Grandchildren, Victoria, Deana and Robert Cotton, Four Great Grandchildren and his Niece and Nephews. Predeceased by his Parents Charles and Margaret, Brother Joseph, Sister Barbara and son, Robert all who welcomed him home with open arms.
