He was a man in motion; a bona fide workaholic. If Lester wasn’t working you’d probably find him out walking or staying fit on his exercise bike. He also enjoyed traveling to Aruba and Hawaii. Relaxing times found him enjoying football or just about any other sporting event on the T.V., but it probably dated back to his days in high school when he spent all 4 years out on the gridiron. He never stopped learning: he was a great student in his youth and had a bachelor’s degree in science. He’d had a landscaping business back in the day and devoured just about every book on the subject.
Lester is survived by his sister, Lisa (Bob) Williams; his nephew, Justyn Williams and is predeceased by his parents, Lester Samuel Jackson Sr. and Shirley Blank.
Come celebrate 51 great years on Saturday at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside, from 10 – 11 a.m., where there will be a service at 11. Interment private.
