Mary E. Burk

Mary E. Burk of Riverside NJ passed away peacefully on Monday February 5th 2018.  Mary was 96.

Mary was born on April 28th 1921 in Riverside NJ.  She was the wife of the late John D. Burk.

Mary started working at the age of 60 as a lunch lady at Riverside H.S. retiring at the youthful age of 94.

Summertime found her relaxing in LBI.

Mary enjoyed watching sports on TV and attending sport events for her children and grandchildren.  She was an avid Bingo player and liked to take trips to A.C.

Mary was blessed with four children, Jack (Cathey) Burk, Lynn (Bud) Maurer, the late Michael Burk and Mary Jo (John) LaBarge.

In addition, Mary is survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 brothers, Charles and George Joo and predeceased by her siblings, Emil, Lillian, Jack and Elizabeth and her grandson, Buddy Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Mary’s life.  The viewing will be Friday February 9th between the hours of 8:30 and 10:15 at St. Casimir’s Church.  Mass will be held at 10:30.

Interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Riverside NJ.
