Miracles do happen. Seems wherever Naomi was, people were drawn to her, and couldn’t wait to hold her or catch a glimpse of her sweet face. She was loved by not only her family but, the doctors and nurses at CHOP and her church family at Jesus the Good Shepard Parish. Her favorite stuffed animal was her dog, Ralph. His mere presence made every diaper change better and they shared many a discussion. Her favorite spot at home was the chaise lounge, where she cuddle up with mom or dad; whoever got the coveted spot next to her first. Of course, if you disappeared from the room for a second, she’d be arching her back looking for you. The fall brought many adventures for Naomi. Long walks taking in the crisp air, touching the trees, and exploring the many festivals the season had to offer. Naomi defied all odds to live up to her middle name: she brought joy to the world.
She is survived by her parents, Hugh and Jerline; her grandparents, Frank and Victoria Donaghy and Joyce Holloway, the late John Strickland; her great-grandmother, Betty Holloway; her Godparents, Veronica Donaghy and Kirk Ballard and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins
Come celebrate her life, Friday, Feb. 24, 8-10:30 a.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Jesus the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Joseph Church, Beverly. Interment, St. Peter Cemetery, Riverside.

I am so sorry Hughie and Jerline. My prayers are with Naomi and you both during this difficult time. May god bless your little angel!
I had the pleasure of meeting this little beautiful girl during walks she took with her mommy and daddy. Hugh and Jerline, you are in my prayers and you know where to find me if you need anything. May God be with you both and may Naomi Joy pray for you, and all of us, in heaven.
Saying I am sorry for your loss is not enough. My dad, sister, and myself have enjoyed every moment of seeing Naomi at mass each week. She was such a beautiful and precious blessing that truly was a gift. May you all find healing and please do not forget to lean on your fellow parishioners (The Petti Family included) if you need anything or a beautiful song to be sung in Naomi’s honor at any time

What a precious and heartfelt tribute to this Angel. Praying that God provides Naomi’s entire family with all that they need to navigate through this journey. Thinking of you especially Jerline and Hugh♥️♥️
Dear Naomi – your smile was contagious and your joy for life was inspiring. Thank you for teaching us how to be present in the moment and enjoy the little joys we all take for granted (smiling at love ones, holding mommy and daddy’s fingers, playing with Ellie – the elephant, taking turns as you playfully stuck your tongue in and out mimicking mommy, finding wonder in the world as you looked at the trees’ leaves with Daddy, and exploring the world as you pulled at Ralph’s long white hair, cuddling in your parent’s arms when they read or sang to you.) To Jerline, Hugh and the rest of Naomi’s family/friends – even though I can’t be there in-person on Friday – know you are in my prayers. Sending the biggest virtual hug I can create!!! The foundation of love you created for Naomi continues to shine brighter than the sun. May the warmth of that love bring you peace, joy, and a smile to your hearts on the darkest of days. 🤟
