Pauline was a typical, old-fashioned Riverside girl with a big heart. Even when passing a stranger she was always the first to say hello. Perhaps being one of seven children helped her develop her propensity for sharing. Regardless, she was always generous. She was fond of crocheting, but not just for family; anyone with a newborn soon received a blanket and worked diligently to create items to be auctioned off at breast cancer charity events. She was always up for a Sunday drive with her friends. She and the rest of “The Golden Girls” would just get in the car and go. The destination was irrelevant, so long as it included an Italian restaurant. When at home, either during her many years in Riverside or more recently in Mount Laurel, food was just as important. While she was known for her amazing rice pudding as well as perfecting everything Italian, she also had the uncanny ability to make just about anything into a sandwich.
Pauline is the wife of the late Harold J. Morgan, Sr., and is survived by her sons, Harold, Jr. (Lorraine) of Westampton and Paul (Donna) of Lumberton, her grandchildren: Harold III (Serena), Ashley (fiancé Michael), Paul, Jr. and Jennifer as well as by her great-grandson, Harold IV.
Come celebrate Pauline’s 86 wonderful years (Dec. 14, 1926-May 30, 2013) Tuesday from 9-10 AM at the Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 at Jesus the Good Shepherd Church (St. Peter’s Site), Riverside. Interment Monument Cemetery, Beverly.
