For some being well read means perusing the occasional book. Rita devoured them by the shopping bag full. Her mind was a steel trap: she kept stats on everything from the exact amount of interest in her bank account to weekly quarterback ratings. While the women cooked in the kitchen, she’d kibitz with the men and advise them on their weekly fantasy football trades. If she wasn’t talking sports she loved to pontificate on the political scene. She kept abreast of every level from dog catcher to President and was more Fox than CNN. She and her husband hosted crab parties at the Florida Motor Court Home Park and had great times at the Villas Fishing Club. Following retirement they cruised the warm climates. Meomorable trips included the locks of Panama and the Caribbean. She raised her children in Westville and lived in Swedesboro before making her final port of call at the Woodbury Mews.rnRita was wife of the late Richard; mother of: Claude Clark (Valerie), Richard Donaldson (Mary), and Bruce Donaldson (Terri); sister of James Blumenstein; Aunt of Mike and Carol O’Brien; Mother in law of Albert Kilpatrick, Grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 10.
