Known to many as a fun guy with boundless energy, Robert was a big brother to all, offering support, wisdom, and kindness to everyone he met. Robert graduated from Riverside High School in 1984 and spent his professional life traveling up and down the East Coast, working for the family businesses Staley Service & Lighting Lift for over 30 years. Mechanically inclined like his father, Robert’s hands-on skills were evident in his many projects and repairs. A true lover of classic rock, Robert’s favorite bands were Rush and Kiss. His love for music was matched only by his love for his loyal dogs, Cuervo and then Wesley. A “master” at Scrabble, Robert also enjoyed watching TV shows like Dateline, Law and Order, and various crime and drama series. He enjoyed writing poetry for his family as well. His life philosophy, “what’s mine is yours,” perfectly encapsulated his generous spirit and willingness to help others. He deeply loved his daughter, Danielle, and found immense joy in being a grandfather to Sofia and Giovanni. Family trips to Ocean City and camping adventures in Shiloh, PA were among his most treasured memories.
Robert is predeceased by his father Wilford and survived by his mother Pam, his sister Cris (Hutch) and their child Rex, his daughter Danielle and his grandchildren Sofia and Giovanni, and his uncle Terry and aunt Natalie.
Services will be held privately.
