Sarah was a giving lady. Whatever she was involved in got her full attention and boundless energy – she was like the Energizer Bunny.rnWhen her daughters were in high school the band benefited from the money she helped raise plus the time she gave chaperoning. Her church benefited from her being active in Sunday School but mostly her husband, Shorty, benefited from her help on their dairy farm. She drove the tractor while he bailed the hay. Babysitting the grandkids was a benefit for them but that was a position of love. For quiet time Sarah hid out at the mall. Then she discovered her time there could bolster the coffers. She took a job at Zale’s Jewelry store and became a certified gemologist. Farmers in Salem and Gloucester Counties were sent to her for special occasion gifts- their wives knew Sarah wouldn’t let them off cheap. Her reputation was so good that when Jared’s Jewelry store opened Sarah was recruited to join the staff.rnShe is survived by her husband Alvin, “Shorty”, two daughters: Debbie Falter (Ed) and Denise Barlow (Ernie), a sister, Margaret Zabaski, two grandchildren, Dana and Eddie Falter. Pre-deceased by her first husband, Robert A. Stetson.rnCome celebrate 73 generous years Friday 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. at Daley Life Celebration Studio, Swedesboro where the service will be at 10 a.m. Interment Lake Park Cemetery.
