Sharon O. Schulze

She was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, Mom-Mom, sister, aunt and friend. Sharon was born August 22, 1962 in Mt. Holly NJ, graduated from Burlington City High School and Burlington County College with a degree in CAD. Sharon used that degree masterfully as an estimator for Delaware Valley Designs in Pennsauken. Other areas of employment, Waldenbooks at the Burlington Center, Acme in Willingboro and her first job was at World of Beauty at the Willingboro Plaza. Sharon resided most of her life between Willingboro and Edgewater Park, NJ.
Sharon liked to travel domestically as “America has so much beauty”. She traveled to Maine several times spending time in Boothbay Harbor and Bar Harbor. Acadia was a special place, as she always found some new attraction in the park every visit. She enjoyed going to Disney World with her family. “Winnie the Pooh” was her favorite lifelong character. One of her most frequently talked about vacations, was a trip from Denver to San Francisco, via the California Zephyr. On which trip she visited Muir Woods and the Charles Schulz Museum, creator of the cartoon strip “Peanuts”. Sharon also enjoyed visiting some of the wineries in Sonoma and Napa. Her most recent vacation visiting the Badlands, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park and Needles Parkway. Sharon has even backpacked a section of the Appalachian Trail.
She enjoyed “The First Sunday of the Month”, as all the kids and her grandkids would come to dinner. She loved gardening inside and out, always working in the shade! Wineries were always a fun trip with family and friends. She really liked to bake cookies, chocolate chip, and snickerdoodle among her favorites. No one could touch her Mac and Cheese, many tried, but it was always a win! She also enjoyed playing pinochle with friends and family.
Sharon met her husband Jim at Woolworths at the Willingboro plaza. Turns out the parents and grandparents of the families had known each other casually throughout the years, but Jim and Sharon had not met until 1980. Jim and Sharon shared 44 ½ years of marriage (marrying on her birthday) blessed by children: Jim Jr (Jen), Michael (Nicole), Jessica (James) Devenny and Sarah and later by grandchildren, Seamus, Jaxon and Riley.
She was proud of her family, her morals and family values were forged as a child through a loving and caring family. The daughter of John M Orem and Joan M. Hutson Orem, (both predeceased) of Edgewater Park. Her siblings also survive her: JoAnn (Ken “Duke”) Westreich, Susan (Allen) Snyder II, John P. Orem (Judi), her brother and sister-in-law: Carl P. Schulze Jr. (Lisa) and Gregg Schulze (Barbara). Family relatives; Thomas Orem (Uncle), Gwen Orem (Aunt), Eleanor Gappo (Aunt), Mickey Stuart (Aunt), Paul Bohne III (Uncle). Sharon was aunt of Ashley, Allen, Faith, Jacob, Jason, John, Julia, Matthew, Nikki, Nora, and Rob. She was also great aunt of Andrew, Cameron, Chase, Connor, Henri, Lucy, Luke, Marley, Nate, Reis, Sloane and Zach. Many cousins to list, but loved by all.
Come celebrate 63 great years, Friday April 10, 6-8 pm at Sweeney Funeral Home, 478 Cooper Street, Beverly and Saturday April 11, 9:30 to 10:00 am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 11 South Sunset Road, Willingboro where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Interment Coopertown Meeting House Cemetery.
