Thomas Weizer

Thomas Weizer

Thomas was an All-American guy with a heart full of love for his family and an unwavering passion for Philadelphia sports. Tom, lovingly known as “Pizza Pop-pop” to his cherished grandchildren, brought joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories to his family and friends.

Tom was a dedicated and lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, as well as all things Philly sports. He reveled in the thrill of game days, cheering on his beloved teams with fervor and loyalty.

Thomas had a remarkable talent for fixing things. He dedicated years of his life to working at MHS Lift, and prior to that, he contributed three decades of his expertise to Griffin Pipe. His ability to troubleshoot and mend just about anything made him a valuable asset to his workplaces and a go-to problem solver for friends and family.

Beyond his mechanical skills, Tom was a culinary wizard. His sausage, onions, and peppers were legendary, and his famous breakfast pork roll sandwich was the sandwich of dreams. In his leisure time, he had a few favorite pastimes. He enjoyed watching the British channel, getting lost in episodes of “Antique Roadshow,” and anything related to Ford Mustangs or Ford Broncos

Tom was also an adventurer at heart. He explored beautiful destinations, including Bermuda, embarked on two memorable cruises, marveled at the Grand Canyon’s grandeur, and even tied the knot with his beloved Christine in the vibrant city of Las Vegas.

Tom found his real calling late in life as a grandfather. Summers were a special time for them, as Tom would host unforgettable pizza parties by the pool. He also made sure to keep the tradition of “McDonald’s night” alive, creating moments that his grandchildren will forever treasure.

Thomas is survived by his wife Christine; daughters: Becky (Michael) Harasym and Stephanie Weizer; step sons: Justin and Shane McDermott; grandchildren: Rylee and Kensley Harasym and Thomas and Patrick Couture; siblings: Sandy Weizer; nephews: Elijah and Cole Weizer and niece Breanna Weizer. He was predeceased by his brother Steven Weizer.
