There was no such thing as a quick trip out for Wendell; he knew people everywhere. An unabashed man’s man, he loved muscle cars, bodybuilding and motorcycles. The faster the better. He was a jack of all trades, handy with everything from the sink to the car. He liked action movies, the more explosions the better, especially the Terminator, The Fast and the Furious and Blade. He was close with his family; his love of cars and motorcycles came from his brother, Steve and his sister, Germaine gave him his love of cooking and family get-togethers. If his beloved Giants weren’t on his T.V. he’d probably be checking out some conspiracy documentaries. And he loved to eat, his palate ranging from New York Strip to peanut butter. He was a running back and lineman for Riverside High and was a 1989 graduate. He spent 18 years as a corrections officer in Bucks County.
He loved the New York Giants so much that he travelled all the way to North Jersey to find a wife who cheered for the blue. Wendell and Yoanila shared a 14-year marriage. He is survived by his children, Amber Klemm, Andrew Giffins and Adrianna Booker; siblings, Stephen (Regina), Derek (Rachel), Devonna, Schenine Purnell and Rose Bacon; his best friends, William Purcell, Bernie Griffin, Chuck and Peter Perez; and many nieces and nephews.
