One never knows when health problems will strike. Lucky for Bill he never wasted a second tracking down life’s adventures. He got to pull back on the yoke and soar into the clouds, scuba dived the Caribbean and drove top down in his BMW, red of course. Bill told his guidance counselor he wanted to be a computer scientist. His counselor asked if that was something people go to college for. He did and wound up not only being a tech guy for State Street Financial but also for his entire family. He also had every gadget known to man before everyone else; a cell phone before that was a thing. Though he was intrigued by technology, as he traveled the world he found he had another love: turns out the guy who thought he was shy was really a people person. His quiet times were for video games and enjoying movies; everything from It’s a Wonderful Life to Star Wars. He was an unabashed animal lover; disasters found him sending money to animal shelters in affected areas.
He is survived his parents, John and Beverly Haaf; his brother, Ken, niece, LeeAnn; nephew, Stuart and his very dear friend, Maryann Legleitner. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jonathan
