Ann DeBolt

Ann DeBolt

Ann was a social butterfly. Wherever she went she naturally made friends; she talked to everyone, especially kids who were naturally drawn to her. When she saw them at the diner, she’d hand them a dollar so they could play games. It was just part of her giving nature. Of course, she was also known for her sense of humor: the “Naughty Mom and Naughty Grandmom”, you never knew what she was going to say and her

smile would light up the room. When she left the house, she was always dressed to the nines: hair perfect, painted nails and just the right amount of jewelry. She’d usually be off to a restaurant: Golden Dawn, Crystal Diner, Bungs Tavern, Charlie Browns and Hibachi were her favorite haunts. She had a sweet tooth for Boston cream and L and M donuts, peanut butter fudge, Reese’s, 5th Avenue Bars, Peanut butter ice cream and lemon meringue pie. Come the holidays everyone would find their way to her house: turkey, ham, lasagna, veal Cutlets, devil eggs and potato salad, all prepared by Ann. If her T.V was on she would be checking out the game show network, Walker Texas Ranger, Hawaii 5.0 and Renegade. Perhaps her most relaxing times were found in the car: relaxing car rides off to the Poconos, Lancaster, or sometimes nowhere in particular.

While working at BF Goodrich in Riverside she’d meet a handsome guy named Edward DeBolt. His perseverance at asking her out would lead to a 53-year marriage. Her five children include Leonard (Patricia) Babula, Barbara (late Edward) McKenna, Edward (June) Babula, Lori DeBolt, Edward (Maria) DeBolt III, and stepson David (Nanci) DeBolt; and later followed by grandchildren: Jennifer Babula, Leonard (Taila) Babula, Edward (Rachel) McKenna, Kristin (Jesse) Lackraj, Steven (Sabrina) McKenna, Alyssa (Dann) Babula, Alexa Greager, Emily DeBolt, Mary DeBolt, Layla DeBolt;  and great-grandchildren: Dominic Babula, Blaise Babula, Tyler Lackraj, Antonio Lackraj, Conor McKenna, Callie DeLorenzo, Sailor Greager, and Scarlett Greager. She is predeceased by late husband Edward Debolt Jr. , parent’s John and Frances Bartosh, and brother John “Jack” Bartosh, and survived by 4 sister in laws and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
