In Loving Memory of William E. Thurman Jr.

William E. Thurman Jr., affectionately known as Bill aka Nate, passed away on (6/25/23). With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to a remarkable man who touched the lives of all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.

Born on (4/11/1954),  Bill was a son, brother, husband, father, and friend who exemplified compassion, strength, kindness, and unwavering support. Throughout his life, he faced every challenge with a steadfast determination and a warm smile. He had a spirit that inspired those around him to embrace life’s joys and overcome its trials.

Bill’s love story with his late wife, Jeannette, was one for the ages. Their bond was built on a foundation of deep affection, trust, and mutual respect. Together, they weathered life’s storms and celebrated its triumphs. Jeannette’s passing left a void in Bill’s heart, but his enduring love for her continued to shine brightly.

Bill’s greatest pride and joy were his two sons, Bill and Steven. He cherished the moments spent with them, guiding them through life’s ups and downs, and instilling in them the values of love, integrity, and hard work. Theirs was a bond that surpassed the boundaries of mere fatherhood and evolved into a lifelong friendship.

In recent years, Bill found companionship and happiness with his girlfriend, Donna. Their love brought him renewed joy and a sense of fulfillment. Donna’s presence in his life was a source of comfort and support during his later years.

Bill’s family extended to include his daughter-in-law, Angie, and Tia, who held a special place in his heart. His grandchildren, Landon, Jaslynn, Ava, Ella, and Easton, brought immeasurable happiness and pride to his life. Bill was a doting grandfather, relishing every moment spent with them, watching them grow, and sharing in their laughter and achievements.

Beyond his immediate family, Bill leaves behind a host of cherished relatives and dear friends who will forever treasure the memories of his infectious laughter, genuine warmth, and unwavering loyalty. His genuine interest in others and his willingness to lend a helping hand endeared him to all who crossed his path.

Bill had a passion for nature’s beauty, spending countless hours cultivating his yard into a vibrant oasis. His love for flowers and picturesque landscapes was evident to anyone who visited his home. The beauty he created was a reflection of his soul, radiating tranquility and a love for life.

As we gather to mourn the loss of William E. Thurman Jr., we find solace in the knowledge that his legacy will continue to live on through the lives he touched. He will forever be remembered as an example of a great husband, father, and friend—a beacon of love and strength. May his spirit guide us in finding beauty in the world around us and cherishing the precious moments we share with our loved ones.

In honor of his memory, a celebration of life will be held on (6/30/2023), visitation from 10am-11am at St Joseph’s Church, 805 Warren Street, Beverly NJ 08010. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11am. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and share their cherished memories of Bill, celebration luncheon to follow, all are welcome to come and have one last beer on Bill. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the  (woundedwarriorproject.org) as it was a cause close to Bill’s heart.

Though we grieve the loss of William E. Thurman Jr., let us remember him with smiles and laughter, for that is how he would want to be remembered. He may be gone from our sight, but he will forever remain in our hearts—a guiding light that will continue to inspire us on our own journeys.
