My sincere condolences to Bill’s family on his too-soon passing. “Nate” and Rocky’s son Tommy, me, and other Riverside Rams worked summers at Olympia Lakes. His presence assured that fun and happy times were about to happen. For Nate, hauling stinky trash out of the picnic groves always took a back seat to the search for a laugh. My first thoughts whenever Bill’s name comes up are of those carefree days of youth. As I encountered him in the years after Olympia Lakes he still had that gleam in his eyes and that smile on his face. The well-composed memorium for Nate got to the heart of his legacy with this sentence: “The beauty he created was a reflection of his soul, radiating tranquility and a love for life.” May God bless Bill Thurman.

Bill was a good brother-in-law who loved my sister mightily. I hope Donna relished her time with him. I did.
    The eulogy/remembrance is accurate.
It makes me aware of how much I will miss our conversations.
This is also a complete surprise. I wish I had known but then I wasn’t aware of Jeannette’s death.
