Debbi Snow

Debbi Snow

She retired from Special Services in Burlington County and found her real calling late in life.  Debbi was meant to be a grandmother. She spoiled the grands rotten with snacks, candy, bubbles, chalk and anything that would make a mess and sent them home on a sugar rush. Her home was full of knick knacks but she didn’t mind if the grands took them off the wall and played with them and she had a cabinet with something sentimental from each kid’s birthday and big events.  It was a natural outgrowth of her years caring for other family members especially her mother, Lois Scheetz and her son Stephen. Debbi loved her beagle Joey that she had for many years. She cooked the best BBQ chicken but thought the best meals were when you’re eating out. Her favorite restaurant was the Cinnaminson Diner; sometimes she’d be there twice a day and always ordered their potato soup. And she loved to order a couple of times a week from Angelos. She went to college late in life and all the college kids loved her and while she joked she was the dumbest college educated person, everyone knew the opposite to be true. She loved the holidays decorating her house and always having a matching sweater and if her T.V. was on, she’d be cheering for the eagles or looking for a bargain on the Home Shopping Network.

She is survived by her partner, Frank Mulley; her son, Stephen (Jaime Cook); grandchildren: Kyleigh, Stephen, MacKenzie, Reagan, and Ellie; and her 3 great-grandchildren; her sister, Terri (Frank) Ross and sister in law, Sandy Scheetz. She was predeceased by her brother, Bobby Scheetz and her parents Robert and Lois Scheetz.

Come celebrate 67 great years Tuesday 6-8pm at Sweeney Funeral Home, 337 Bridgeboro Street, Riverside NJ 08075. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sweeney Funeral Home, 337 Bridgeboro Street, Riverside NJ 08075 c/o Debbi Snow.

    My Dear Cuz,
Though we lived our lives separated by many miles, we always had a special bond. I loved talking to you and sharing our ups and downs. You were a great listener and always had uplifting words for me.
Today as I write this note, I’m watching your beloved Philadelphia Eagles finishing one of their best seasons in many years. I know you are enjoying the game as well with Aunt Lois and Bobby by your side. Fly-Eagles-Fly!
I am so grateful for the times we did spend together and will hold those memories very close to my heart. Rest peacefully with the angels, I love you very, very much.

    Your Cuz,
    Mimi

    Dearest Debbie,
Thank you for being such a special person. Mimi is a gift to me, and I know she was made so much better by having you in her life. Rest peacefully and know how much you were loved and appreciated.
    Love,
    Mike

I was truly honored by my sister when she named her daughters, Terri Rae and Debbi Rae after me, their Uncle Ray. I am saddened to hear of Debbi’s passing and will miss her dearly. I take comfort in knowing that she will be with her brother, mother, father, and grandparents.

As a child I idolized my cousins. They were older than me. I always felt that Debbi and Terri were so beautiful, Bobby was so handsome, and Aunt Lois and Uncle Bob were always so happy. They were a beautiful family! I was always so excited to spend time with them at their house.
As our lives took us in different directions, my feelings never changed about them. I continued to get excited whenever I got the opportunity to visit.
As our lives got busier, our families grew and the opportunities to visit became less. We always stayed in touch and when we were able to come together for a vacation, birthdays, or weddings, it was the best of times!
Like the time we visited the Haunted Penitentiary in Philadelphia. Debbi helped me through it! Also the time we visited the Pennsauken Flea Market, Debbi had us carry walkie talkies so we would not lose the guys! It worked as no one got lost!
We loved Debbi’s deep voice, especially how she used it to called my Jerry, “Jury”. Debbi would also ask me to pinch his butt (and I did).
Jerry and I enjoyed our times with Debbi and Frank wherever we went.
Debbi leaves a legacy of goodness and kindness. She did so much for her mother and her family.
Debbi’s passing is deeply saddening to me. We will miss her and will always remember her.
    Love Lynne and Jerry

Debbi made me feel loved and special. I have fond memories of the time I was taken in by my New Jersey family of Aunt Lois, Uncle Bob, Terri, Debbi, and Bobby. My new family made me feel normal playing 45’s, dancing, and doing family things. We ice skated on a nearby pond with a little bonfire. It was post card perfect with all the cousins there!
I felt love and it gave me stability. I thought of Debbi as my “Big Sister” in a time of my life where I needed it most. A memory close to my heart is of Debbi taking me to a malt shop in Beverly for a soda. I will miss her dearly.
