Heather Anne Elizabeth Seip (Kortman)

On Thursday, May 19, 2022, Heather Anne Elizabeth Seip (Kortman) went peacefully to heaven to join her parents and brother. Born in Riverside, NJ to Thomas and Eileen Kortman (McDougall), Heather was raised in Delanco, NJ and lived there for the majority of her life. Heather knew the small towns well, and always strived to contribute. She took pride in the fact that she was the paper girl around town as a young child. She attended St. Peter’s School in Riverside, NJ before graduating from Holy Cross High School in 1988. Working odd jobs here and there, Heather was first and foremost a Mom. With a laugh so contagious and a hug so warm, it was clear why all of the kids, not just her own, referred to her as “Ma”. She continued to prove her dedication to her children by always being a Room Mom, a chaperone, or a coach whenever possible. Besides being a wonderful mother, Heather was a special kind of friend. If you ask any one of her friends about her, they will first smile wide and then speak about what a loyal,  “go‐to‐bat-for-you” kind of person she was. Heather could come sit on your porch and talk for hours about life, struggles, happy memories, and of course her amazing children and grandchildren. She felt so blessed to witness the miracle of life and made it a point to attend any and all events, as to not miss a single moment. She always checked in on those she knew may be struggling regardless of her own struggles. She had a heart of gold, but a fist of iron!
Heather is preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Eileen, and her brother Thomas Robert. She is survived by three children, Joseph Seip (Alex), Kaitlin Seip (Gary), and Shane Locke, as well as her amazing grandchildren – Andrew Seip and Rhiannon Parker. She also leaves behind her Aunt Peg and Uncle George, two sisters by heart- Ginger and Kristina, along with many cousins and countless friends. “When we lose someone we love, we must learn not to live without them, but to live with the love they left behind.” – Anonymous
