In Loving Memory of Paulette Orem
Paulette Orem, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the family she so deeply loved. She was 79 years old.
At the heart of Paulette’s life was her love story with Tom, her husband of 58 years and the love of her life. They first met when she was just 15 years old, and from that moment on, they were rarely apart. Their connection was instant and unwavering — a bond built on laughter, trust, deep friendship, and unshakable devotion. Through every chapter of life, Tom remained her constant, her partner, and her greatest joy. Together, they created a life full of warmth, adventure, and a home where love was always felt. Theirs was a marriage that inspired all who knew them — a true partnership and a beautiful example of enduring love.
Paulette was also the proud and loving mother of two daughters, Colleen (David) Lonsberry and Amy (Randall) Addis, and the adoring grandmother of four grandchildren: Ryan, Sarah, Colin, and Caitlin — each of whom brought her endless pride and joy. Her family was her world, and she gave to them completely — with patience, strength, and a heart full of unconditional love.
She was the cherished daughter of Helen and Hank Borowski (both deceased), and the devoted sister of Henry (Pat) Borowski. She cared for her parents, her aunt and uncle, and anyone who needed her with gentle compassion and unwavering grace.
Paulette embraced life’s simple pleasures: a sunny day at the beach, spontaneous trips to Atlantic City with Tom by her side, a cold glass of Pinot Grigio, and any moment that called for singing and dancing. Her favorite songs — Sweet Caroline, Poker Face by Lady Gaga, and anything by Adele — brought out the joyful spirit that defined her. She was lighthearted, quick to laugh, and always ready to share a moment of fun with the ones she loved.
Her love, laughter, and warmth made a lasting imprint on everyone she met. Paulette’s legacy lives on in the love she gave so freely and in the beautiful family she and Tom built together.
A celebration of her life will be held:
Viewing: Friday, June 6th from 6:00–8:00 PM and Saturday, June 7th from 8:30–9:30 AM at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside.
Mass: Saturday, June 7th at 10:00 AM at St. Casimir’s Church, Riverside.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to your favorite charity in tribute to Paulette’s caring and generous spirit.

Truly a beautiful person inside and out. I have an endless amount of happy memories with her that I will never forget. She really was an incredible wife, mother, daughter, Mommom, and sister. Her devotion to her family has always inspired me, the love she had for us was always felt. The love between my grandparents is something I have always been in awe of, I’ve never seen two people love eachother so much. I know she is watching over me now and I hope to make her proud, and love and care for others just as she did. I love my mommom so very much, and I miss her so much already. Love you Mommom❤️
I remember Tom bringing Paulette to our house and thinking that she was the most beautiful older teen and I wanted to be so glamorous like her. She was so happy and filled with joy . I am fortunate to have been her niece
